Six-Step Coaching Process
The coaching process involves six steps. This proven process provides accountability, structure, and a performance measurement tool to evaluate the coaching results. Harriet cares and wants her participant client to have an experience of their lifetime. The proven method will work with any individual who is ready and committed to making progress. It is customized to fit the client’s needs.
In the pre-coaching consultation session, you and your coach will look together at clarity, objectives, outcomes, process, and logistics. This step will identify the action you need to make progress and make an intentional change.
You and your coach will determine the terms of the coaching contract, agreement, and guidelines at the very beginning to establish clear guidelines and discuss the importance of confidentiality in the coaching relationship. The information shared remains confidential between the coach and the coaching participant. The coach will sign a confidentiality agreement with the client.
In your first session, we will revisit the coaching objectives discussed in step one. Furthermore, we discuss the wellness wheel and create a frame process for change. You will share with your coach the objectives of your life script. Your coach will help you create a self-affirmation script, prioritize the next steps, and give you the tools you need to unlearn what you have learned.
In the upcoming sessions, we will define the goals and objectives. We look at the short-term goals in bite-sized pieces. You and your coach will address the SHARP goals from significant and specific to partnered & persevered and anything in between. We further the process by agreeing on expectations, commitments, timelines, and ground rules. Furthermore, we will create a measurable action plan, identify the key behaviors to be changed, and outline specific metrics to achieve. After that, we focus on the long-term goals for your personal development.
The next step is implementing the action plan and behavior changes to achieve the desired results. The process involves the coach and client scheduling virtual or in-person check-ins. It is an excellent method of tracking the value and benefits gained from the coaching program.
Your coach will track your progress and calibrate what needs adjustment. Accountability is critical to our client’s success. There is an opportunity to tighten the process and identify what changes have taken place and what still need improvement.
At the end of the coaching experience, a review of the entire experience takes place.
