About Harriet Tinka

Harriet Tinka is a force of transformation dedicated to guiding individuals on a journey of empowerment. Her work is grounded in one powerful principle: “Own Your Next Step.” With a diverse background spanning peak performance, coaching, advocacy for survivors, and education, Harriet is a multi-faceted expert inspiring change in audiences across the globe.

Educational Background

Harriet’s journey begins with a solid educational foundation. Armed with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), she combines financial acumen with exceptional communication skills. As a Certified Coach Practitioner (CCP) and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), she brings a wealth of expertise to her coaching and speaking engagements.

Sonja Purcell

Sonja brings her formidable energy and dedication to the EmpoweredMe team, enhancing our commitment to community causes and events. As a valued community ally, she channels her passion into raising awareness of critical issues, including the human rights crisis surrounding murdered and missing Indigenous people and the challenges of houselessness.
With her focus on fostering understanding and communication, Sonja has honed her event management and communication skills over 15 years, contributing to impactful local initiatives such as the International Day of the Girl Child and International Women’s Day presented by the Indo Canadian Women Association.
Her involvement extends to initiatives like Action 231 with the Stolen Sisters and Brothers Action Movement, NorQuest’s Canada 150+ celebration, CCS Building Empathy, Conquering Apathy Symposiums, the Belcourt Brosseau Metis Awards Gala, and the EmpoweredMe signature project, “The ME Project – YEG2019,” empowering girls aged 14-16 to pursue careers without limitations. Sonja’s addition to the EmpoweredMe team amplifies our mission of advocacy and empowerment within the community.
